the cable connection on the back of the box is a female for nine pins. 5 pin holes on top four on bottom!

Let me know if i can run to walmart or not and this tonight!!

If you have the cable to load the firmware, I'd try going through that, just for grins. See if it'll take the firmware. You can get if from the fortecstar website..and the loader program too.

I dont see the Dynamic on there...I see the Merc II which is pretty much the same

as for the cable its a "Female-to-female 9-pin NULL modem cable needed"...computer type cable. Radio Shack carries them too

Rip, I dont know what male and female is, the connection is a male, 9 total pins, 5 across top and four across bottom. any advise for this type of cable.

reality check:

I would NOT recommend a neophyte reload the firmware!
Especially on a brand new box! :eek:
Only if Sadoun recommends the procedure.

If you bought it from me, and screwed with it like that, I wouldn't take it back! :mad:
