I am tring to point my superdish at G10R ku, with a superdish. It has the lnb that works for 121. So i am trying to bring in 123 with that same lnb. Should skew be set at 90 (level)? I am using my pansat 2700 and was wondering if anyone knows the settings for lnb setup? Thanks.

no. The skew needs to be at what it is for your area. KU Band needs to be skewed unless on a motor

Since you didnt post your location, go here
http://www.sadoun.com/Sat/Installation/Satellite-Heading-Calculator.htm

and put in lat/longitude and select G10. It will give you elevation/azimuth and skew. The number they give is off of 90 Unless you are on the west coast, the lnb will be tilted with the KU LNB the highest

Signals are okay.
From pansat:
11800 = 33%
11720 = 18% (not watchable)
12104 = 75%
12114 = 60%
11035 = 35%

With my bud in Central wisconsin these signals are 10% higher.

skew from sadoun - 31.6° counter-clockwise of 90
skew working best for me - 36° counter-clockwise of 90

I will monitor the signals overnight and tomarrow to see if 11720 ever gets better.

Thanks Iceberg!

why are the frequencioes off by 1000? (its 11800)

Skew seems too much...in MN its only 25 or so for G10

I got the frequencies corrected, had to do with lnb settings on the weird DishPro Ku Lnb. Moved the skew a back to 31, did nothing. I was wondering if the ku lnb isn't already skewed somewhat considering its designed for 121/119/1110.

you skew the dish

I have a DirecPC dish that you skew the dish & not the LNB...it works the same way

The whole dish has to be skewed as below!

G10R transponders

Thanks for validating my experience with Galaxy 10R transponders 11720/11800. I
enjoyed both a week ago (Memorial day weekend), but last Saturday (June 3) both were barely 10% quality for me.

I would be interested in how they are later this week. My dish is a temporary setup at parents house (have to put it back in the basement when done ;) using a Globecast elliptical dish.

WELCOME to the SatelliteGuys.US FTA forum!

The above picture is a (Painted) Globecast dish :)
