10' Sami with an NS-741 c/ku lnbf

70 feet of RG-11 quad ran into my vbox 7, RG-6 jumper from the vbox to the pansat 9200 HD.

I have a 22khz switch on the dish with 12" RG6 jumpers between the lnbf and switch.

Seems my polarity is hanging and seems sometimes the switch hangs on ku.

I have not tried to replace the switch yet. I have to order another one. My pansat says it can use an sw -21 dish switch. Would that be a better switch?

Check the voltage at the LNBF. If Horizontal voltage is low, the polarity switch may not reliably occur.

Check the connections for corrosion and the coax for sharp bends, punctures and moisture wicking (causing impedance problems).

What brand switch was it? I recommend genuine ecoda.

Yes, it was lowering voltage below the lnbf's horizontal trigger threshold. I changed the switch and all is good.

What is a high quality brand of switch? These cheapo china models suck.

Yep just search "ecoda switch" on ebay.
