What diameter pole does one need for a 6' dish, and about how much does the equipment weigh (dish, actuator {motor}, etc.)?

Rialdo;

Diameter will depend on the mount, 3-6 inches. Mesh dishes are lighter than solid metal dishes which are lighter than fiberglass. Most of the work can be done by one person, but two or more are always better. The C Band section has lots of good info!

If you are referring to the Fortec 180 cm dish the id of the mount is roughly 3 1/4" for the polar mount. I bought 3" schedule 40 pipe and had to step it down to make it work. Taking a guess the package probably weighs 60-70 lbs.

I just received my Fortec 6ft Polar Mount. The dish with the polar mount weighs approx 55lbs. I bought a 24in actuator which was another 20lbs. You would be looking at roughly 75lb with lnb, dish, actuator.
