I am getting ready to mount my Fortec 100cm dish and am also using the Stab HH120 rotor. Any Ideas what size pole I need for this set up? I was looking at Home Depots 2 in Conduit in the electrical section and it seems heavy enough?

The 2 inch rigid conduit is a lot heavier than the 2 3/8 fence posts that they have. I think its used as a weather head mast. I bet it weights 10 lbs more than the fence post??

The length of the post is important, even a ridgid 2" conduit may flex a lot in the wind if its 6-8 foot long, and thats even filled with concrete. I tried it with a 6 foot dish, did not work:)

Here's a handy web page that has Schedule 40 pipe sizes. Note that pipe is referred to by it's Inside Diameter (ID). So you have to find something that winds up being the right outside diameter by going down the list.

It can get confusing. The pipe I put in today had to be 3.5" OD so I had to buy 3" pipe. But what was screwy is they had 3.5" stenciled on the outside. (It was from Korea)
Always take a tape measure with, or calipers if you got'em
