i just switched from Direct tv rge service to High Def. I currently can't hold local high def signal strength and the signal strength for the standard is lower than it use to be. The installer told me that i had a tree in the way. understood but was not much in the way dish up very high. So i had tree's cut down and now it seems worse. i am constantly loosing hd signal in the middle of show's and i at some times loose or completley. Is there some adjustments that i can tweek? the installer only took about 1 min to set up dish. he said he had it preset when he assembled it. he did minor adjustment with a meter. it there somewhere to get the settings for my area code 01453 in Mass. i've had Direct TV out a few times now and i have had trouble getting them to even go up on the roof. Is there any one with any suggestions. lots of money invested with little use out of it.
Thanks

Ya,
Call D* back and tell them you want a competent installer to peak your dish properly this time, also tell them that you were told to cut down the tree in the way and that you would like proper compensation because they said that was the problem.

You probably won't get tree compensation, but it might get thier attention to get someone out there that knows what they are doing.
Or you can go to the antenna and get your locals in HD and save monwey at the same time.
