Possibly accurate D* HD lauch info w/ dates?

HD Updates
- Launching New Programming on the B-Band
- 11 days from today until first impact
o Launching ‘BIG 10’ on September 15 in new HD platform
? (College Football) – first channel being launched in new platform
- 13 days until launching of new HD programming
o September 12th Satellite goes online
o September 17th Satellite broadcasts to customers
o September 19th Satellite will be loaded with 30 HD Channels
o Cinemax (HD) Showtime, HBO, 7HD Regional sports Channels
- Up to 100 Channels by the end of the year
- October 8th 14 more HD channels will be added
- October 17th 17 more HD channels will be added



SWM (Single Wire Multi-Switch)
- Field Trial starts September 10, Boston, Detroit, Denver, Shreveport, about 2500 customers.
- National Roll estimated for October 17th, in Siebel markets only

SWM (Generation 2 SWM ODU)
- SWM switch will be in the LNB, field trial estimated for first quarter of 2008.


DirecTV on Demand
- National Rollout by end of the year

THe poster said it came from an installer conference/training type call.

If accurate it gives a picture of dates starting with BigTen in time for the 3rd week of games in HD.

After that, Wednesday the 19th would launch the first 30. That includes 7 RSNs. Anyone know which RSNs are 24 hrs? I don't think there are 7 yet?

I would think they would operate just like ESPN HD always has; rarely 24/7 HD; just HD when the source material is HD. Everything else is pillar-boxed. OR the could follow the TNT method of upconverting the non-HD material.
