Dish installed a Hopper w/Sling and I opted for the Super Joey. Very happy camper here.

If Just Installed, remember to let it do it's thing for 48 -72 hrs....app installs, logos, etc.

Could somebody elaborate further on the external hard drive? I cannot find a picture of the back of a receiver, so I would not know how to hook it up. A friend of mine wants to archive programs, but not on the internal recording device. Another thread had a post that said when the internal hard drive failed it was impossible to retrieve the saved programming, and the programming could not be transferred to an external device.
