Power Consumption of Dish Receivers

And with the trash they call television, I can't even think of a time where there'd actually be 6 shows on at the same time id actually want to watch haha.

Sony XBR55HX929 full array LED TV at 11 cent a Kilowatt hour and 5 hours a day consumes $21----------------------------------------
a year.:D

Can we say "Apples and oranges?" when you said, "...D* DVRs use half the power the E* DVRs use. ...".

I don't care how you slice your fruit. You can power 2 D* DVRs, have as much functionality as 1 E* DVR, and still use less power.

The combined energy rating of my 3 receivers, 2 HR24s and 1 H24 is 60.1

Hopefully the new E* Xip receivers will be more energy efficient.

NOT if they are designed by the same people! Low power technology existed for ever.

I probably blamed unfairly the engineers, the real culprit is the incompetent management. Engineers in a big corporation are usual doing what they are being told to do.

Timers messed up on my 622

Anyone else notice digital "noise" at top edge of screen?
