Just returned from Alaska where I saw a prime focus and offset dish next to each other (see attachment). They are not pointed at the same sat but it is an excellent example to show the difference in "look angles" between the two type of dishes.

very nice :)

I was amazed at the two when I put my C-Band dish up and 38 degrees on a Prime focus and its aiming at the sky. 38 on a offset and its looking at my house :)

Alaska needs at least a 36" dish for Dish 119...most use a 48" for 119 and a 6 footer for 110 :)

I can really see the difference in between offset and prime focus when I aim my c band at g10 (18 degrees elevation here) . I have my 1.2 meter right next to the c band and when both are pointed at g10 the 1.2 IS pointing at the ground, whereas the c band shows noticeable elevation.
