I am having more problems than ever since I changed the setting from Universal 1 (or 2) to Standard on the LNB. Using a DiSecQ switch, #1 Horizontal and #3 Vertical. Pansat 2700A receiver. Aiming at 97W. 15 TV and 15 Radio stations that I was getting before are not coming in. Did Advance Scan to add KJC TV, and it didn't come up.

The problem I find has to do with the transponders not showing up. It seems that the first two transponders for each Sat are as follows:
H 11842 21.000
H 11873 21.000

V 11000 7.000
V 11750 7.234

So the channels on the lower transponders are the 30 stations that I am missing, cause those transponders are not listed. So, I thought I would add a transponder on the H polarity satellite, and added 10873 H. Went back to add KJC TV which is on that transponder, and it still didn't show up.

Any suggestions? At first, I thought this Primestar dish was an awesome fixed dish, but now I am beginning to wonder.

When you had the LNB type mistakenly set to Universal Type, the receiver looked for low band signals on a LO frequency of 9.750GHz, but really your LNBF LO was 10.750GHz. All of your low band scans were 1000MHz too low. The receiver also looked for all high band frequencies using 10.600GHz as the high LO, but really your LO freq was 10.750GHz. All of your high band scans were 150MHz too low. The switch point is 11.7GHz on a North American Universal Type LNBF.

To tune KJC try adding 1000MHz to your original scan frequency of 10873 and set DiSEqC #1 or just perform a Power (Blind) Scan using the corrected LNBF type Standard LO freq. 10.750 GHz and DiSEqC #1.

On IA5 all frequencies will be between 11.7GHz - 12.2 GHz. The DiSEqC switch will add a layer of difficulty during scanning, but once the channels are scanned in it will be invisible during daily use.

Ok. I will try that. Thanks, SatelliteAV.

Also, is there some type of connector that can combine the H and V signals into one cable, or do I have to continue doing it by using a DiSeqC switch?

Channels Deleting Channels

Ok. I did what SatelliteAV said about adding 1000 to my Frequencies. That worked fine. New problem.

I added in Duna TV 11866V 22.000 2060 2020
Then added Maharishi 11866V 22.000 4176 4177, which deleted Duna TV.
Then added Markazi TV 11866V 22.000 4176 4177, which deleted Maharishi.

I was adding several channels, but the channels that were deleting out were on the same transponder, 11866 V. Is there more channels on that transponder than the Pansat 2700A can handle or what?

Any ideas? Any fixes?

Thanks....

I'm done!

just do an auto scan. It should log all the channels just fine :)

It worked. Thanks for the hint. I got the rest on the channels in now. I am finally done with this project! Atleast, I am learning. And I am glad this forum has an attitude of "There are no dumb questions." :)

so true. The only dumb question is "how can I steal" :D
I use the philosophy of we were all newbies once (including me) so what may be old habit for some of us is brand new to some. :)
