problem with 811 settings

have 811 hooked up to sony tv but cannot get clear picture for hd. the best
i can get is a split screen,but not a very clear picture.sony is a tube 32" i've tried every possible combo. thanks for any help.

Did you go into menu 6-1-9 and change it from 720p to 1080i. I think it comes defaulted to 720, so you should change it to 1080i.

811 problem

i tried. thats the first thing you do with the 811's on most tv's

what types of cables are you using the dvi or the y pr pb?having you tried running a different cable for the hd? Is the picture just have lines or ghosting or just fuzzy haze over the picture?
