problems to boot my VS2000 Ultra

I been have problems to iniciate my VS2000, load the original file trought the loader program on Viewsat site, and load the original firmware, the box are not booting, try to read from USB and come with "on" and not go on, stays with "on" for a few minutes and try to load the fine again and go beck to "on", tryied a couple times to load the firmware, but still not work, the box received the file, we can see by screen that is loading, but nothing comes up.......

If the box had some kind of pirate crap on it before you got it, you might need to load some sort of "cleaner" file first, then the factory firmware. You should probably be using the serial port instead of the USB since it is going to be more reliable as you're talking to the boot loader itself over the serial port.

A second vote for using the serial port

A third for the serial port. It takes longer than changing with the usb port due to unconnecting and draging it to your computer, but it more reliable when unhacking boxes.

Here is what you do:

Use serial cable that came with receiver cable (not USB).

1. Turn the receiver off from the back
2.Hook the cables from pc to the receiver that came with receiver.
3. Go to official viewsat website get latest VS factory file for your receiver if you don't have it yet.
4. Run the program
5.Once everything set run the program than switch receiver from the back
it should upload to the factory non hacking file.

Don't forget to 'Unzip" the factory file, compressed file will not load. Use a program like7-Zip or Winzip to decompress the bin file.
