Programming an R10 remote.

Is there anyway to do a code search when programming the remote to operate the TV on an R10,instead of going through the menus?

Press Directv and TV power button until light stays on.Enter 0999,press Channel up button keep doing this until tv turns off.When it does push the enter button.
