Programming TV Remote Bell 4100 Reciever

I have a done a lot of searching around the web and have been pointed to this site several times to answer several questions (congrats).

My question is i recently bought a Sony XBR6 television and i own a bell 4100 receiver. I would like to program my sony remote to operate the reciever instead of the satellite remote. I have searched various but have not found a similar case anywhere.

I was wondering if someone could let me know if this is possible and if so how you would go about programming the remote. Thanks for the help/

Did you get an operation manual with you receiver? If you did the instructions should be inside.

QCK, he is asking about controlling the 4100, with the SONY remote.......

I would doubt that the codes exist for this way around, however, controlling the TV using the Bell remote should be easy.

Oops, my bad. The Bell remote will work for sure as I have used them on a few Sony TVs, also the Sony remote should have Echostar codes in it. Either way he needs to read the manual(s) to know how to do it. The OP hasn't been back since he posted so he must have figured it out lol.

Either that or he went out and got a Logitech Harmony remote.....lol
