I was just curious if the plan is worth the $6/month? The recievers are currently all leased anyway. If one of them goes bad, do they not just replace it for free?
What are the pros/cons for having this?

Being leased your covered for the receiver only. It will be a self install as Directv will ship a new receiver to you and charge a $10 shipping charge. They will give you a prepaid shipper to return the old unit within 7 days (otherwise you will be charged for the receiver).

Protection plan, they will send a tech out to replace unit. Protection plan also covers the antenna and a realignment if a strong Florida wind blow it out of alignment..:D

If your tech savvoy, I know think its worth it.
