PS3 Streaming

I have an extensive collection of older dvds that I would like to burn onto my computer and when I want, stream them through my PS3. I am well aware about tversity and how it works, but what I don't know how to do is simply burn a dvd onto my pc so it can be streamed and played through my PS3.

I prefer a free and easy of way doing so, but if I have to shell out a few dollars for convenience and ease, so be it.

Any suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated!
