RE: [VOOM] VOOM comment, and a question

Press the VOOM button on your remote, then the green button. Then go to the
last option and continue till you get to the signal strength. What is it? My
Sat signal is around 97 while my OTA signals on all but ABC are 80+. My ABC
sat signal go from 55-75 and I know that's why I'm having a pbm with my ABC
reception.

Basically from what I can tell, if your signal (for voom or ota) is below
75, there will be reception issues. .. atleast that's what " I " am
finding..

So what's your sat signal?

Well I don't know about Texas... but I know here in S.E. Georgia, the day
my VOOM was installed,
we had our 'daily' rain storm here, and my VOOM was out completely. Was
rather surprising to me,
since my DISH hardly ever goes out in these storms we have. VOOM was out
for about 30 minutes,
while DISH was still playing away.

Now to my question... on the VOOM Motorola stb, was does the red button,
under the cover, on the
front right hand side do? I seen the installer pressing it a few times, but
I dont see in the manual,
what this button actually does?

wanted to pass on to you all that I just had a pretty severe storm here and
I lost voom for about a few seconds a couple times but other than that, had
no problems. Time Warner Cable has a radio ad out that claims satellite
service goes out with dark clouds!! Maybe Directv or Dish do, but not VOOM!!
