My problem is fixed!!

Yipee!

It was the remote, somehow during the day (all those reboots, resets, cursing, etc) the remote went to IR and the receiver was in RF.

Many thanks to D*** cr Amy who figured it out in a snap

Also, many thanks to those who gave me a hand today, I learned lots of stuff
listening to you guys and I've committed it all to memory and paper!

Hmm, my 2 other HR20's took the 3D firmware just fine. Along with the 24

my HR22 is a nice brick right now. hurry up and fix this, D*, this is inexcusable.

How about your HR20?

Hang on , I'll try it.

I didn't know that the TV Apps thing was Network dependent, my HR20 is not connected to my network at the moment so it is giving me an error stating so.
When I moved it to the bedroom I didn't think about the network part.

Your HR22 was a brick when you got it, just didn't know it at the time ! :D

What is it doing and what have you tried ?

it refuses to respond to remotes. i've unplugged it and reset it several times

I have the protection plan, But what the heck, Its still a big Pain in the A$$.
HR20 was the best. They might have been slow but atleast they worked.

I've got the protection plan, but when I called to activate a replacement H20 (2 years ago) they tacked-on 2 years citing activation of the new device. They said the plan only covers the cost of the replacement equipment, activating still triggered a new commitment.
