Receiver Question

I am getting an EA dish this week. I have two HD receivers (722 and 612) and a 508 that I own. Will the 508 work with this dish? If not are there any suggestions as to how to approach Dish for a replacement? My 2 years are up. I would like to get as good a deal as possible. Thanks.

The 508 will not work on Eastern Arc

Dish might be able to upgrade it but then it would be another contract

If you don't mind a second dish and have a WA view, then put up a Dish 500 with Y yoke for 110+119 and wire it just to the 508. Take a step back, for that receiver, as it likely does not need 129.

I thought about the OP getting a 211 through the DishStore but then to make it a DVR he'd have to pay the $40 charge and add a external Hard drive...and the 508 doesnt have a DVR fee

almost any upgrade will involve another 2yr contract

to keep the 508, you will need another dish and another add'l rec fee

see if they will replace the 612 with another 722

Try asking the installer to put up West Arc.

There may be the matter of HD locals being on EA, WA may not give OP them.
