Would it be correct to say the Quali-tv 1080i is the better receiver? If so how much better is it than the Motorla 922? I have read the reviews and I would appreciate input so I can evaluate all for purchase. thanks

What channels are you trying to get? The Quali is a dvb reciever and the 922 is a DC2 reciever and that is like comparing apples to oranges.
I have a 922 that has been checked out and I know it is a lot of work to get it on line so I thought something else might be easier. Just desiring to pull in as much as possible. I have a 10 foot dish.
again they are 2 different things and pick up different channels
The Q is nice because it does 4:2:2 and HD. But the 700 buck price tag is the drawback when there are other options for HD

Iceberg, why is the Quali-tv so expensive? I would like to buy one someday but that price is much too much for me. I check Ebay but it never has one on sale...

-They have to be imported from Europe
-The box is old and none are made anymore. The Q is probably 5 years old

You could get a dvb card for your computer to get 4:2:2 and HD if your computer is fast enough. That should be a lot easier on the pocketbook.
