Google search is your friend. Here is a link to the search results for Omegasat 5700 review

It looks to be a good quality, but nothing special, standard definition DVB-S receiver from WSI.

I wouldn't pay over $25 for it or any other similar SD FTA receiver. Check eBay completed auctions for prices.

Yeah it is a decent solid beginner receiver for SD. I sold mine a few months back, cause I have a few SD and and putting my money into HD.

my opinion....unless you want to watch the religious channels or a SPECIFIC station that is on FTA getting a SD only receiver is a waste of money (unless its dirt cheap).
The opinion/rule when starting with FTA is "get what you THINK you'll need" because its better to pay $50 more now for a HD receiver than dropping $100-$125 3 months from now

That was my mistake when I got FTA 8 years ago. I pieced it together.
Got the receiver (a real crappy one)
Got a 30" dish
then another dish
then a different receiver
then a motor
etc
etc
If I got one complete system it would have saved me a fair amount of money

Thx for the reply, ok, what would be a good system, I've got money to buy a good one, what I'm looking for is a motorizes 36 in. dish. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Frenchy

go with an SG9120 motor....if you have the room and money go with a bigger dish too like a 1M or 1.2M
