Recording Playback Question?

When watching a recorded program, the program will usually end before the end of the recording, is there anyway to stop playback and get prompted to delete the program?

Right now when a show ends I have to fast forward until the end of the recording before I am prompted to "Delete" or "Play Next".

What dvr are you using?

HR-54-700 and with the white remote, which has no "Stop" button just a "play/pause" button

You can hit the list button, then highlight the program and hit the red delete button.

I have done this as well but still takes some time, as I have to push "list" and scroll through all my other recordings to find the one I am watching and than delete it, still very inconvenient.

I think they want to be sure you don't accidentally delete a recording by making the process one button, especially since there is no recovery option.

You can hit the back button and that would take you the menu and go down to delete
