There are several members here, including the forum owner, that have a Hopper+. I'm pretty sure at least one of them would have mentioned something like this.

I have the Plus it was a ruff start but we are far past most of that and have a system that I feel is stable with very minor issues. I have never seen or heard anything like this with the Hopper 3 or with the Plus. I would at this point recommend the Plus.

If they've got two techs telling you them that, then it's an office thing that the managers are having them say it. And it is 100% false and also against protocol that dish has released for us techs to go by regarding the situation.

The attacks have zero affect on receiver functions or any satellite feeds. We have no issues with them and I've installed two in the last week and been on service calls to 4 or 5 customers that have a plus and there's no issues with the plus itself. (Any issues were usually signal issues or something was physically damaged.)

My HopperPlus is running fine. Been really stable as of late.

They have come a long way since we first started testing these units.

Yes, about 2 to three seconds on my Plus stuff for trick things. My Hopper 3 is .5 seconds.

Mine hasn't worked since day 1 and it does display a weird pink screen when it manages to boot sometimes, so I think they are having hardware issues.

No I think YOU are having Hardware Issues with the Hopper Plus. Its not a wide issue.

There are a good number of these boxes out there now and if there was an issue or outage we would hear it here. I would have DISH come by and swap your box out.
