Remote Access for 211

Anybody know if Dish Remote Access will ever happen on the VIP 211k? Is it a matter of waiting for a firmware update or will the box never be capable of this?

Well, I don't know the technical aspect of this, but last Tech chat I sent a question about the matter. In short, the answer was NO, there is no project going on to activate remote access to the 211. Below is a copy of the pretty-much-canned answer (non important things excluded)...


"As of now there are no current plans to make this change, this could be a possibility in the future."


For my part, I hope with all my heart that the CSR was completely wrong in this one....
