Remote Codes for Onkyo Receiver

I have an HR21-700 and I am trying to program AV1 on the remote to control my Onkyo TX-SR575 Receiver. The instructions on the screen provides 5 codes. One of the codes works for turning ON the receiver. Another code works for turning OFF the receiver. The other 3 codes do nothing.

Anyone else seen this problem? Is there a fix? Does anyone know what the correct code to use is?

No, there isn't a code available that will give both ON & OFF commands for onkyo receivers, not with onkyo use of a two-key power scheme and the lone power key of the white remotes, one of the commands will always be missing.

To get the volume, use code 30135, the volume keys will not work, they ever do initially with any adio code not until you do the following:

First there has to be tv code programmed to the tv device, or the volume keys won't work, then:

1. av1 or av2
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 9 3
4. press SELECT

Looks like its time to invest in one of them universal programmable remotes.
