Remote Issue - Unable to add 40.0 remote to Hopper w/sling

I have a hopper w/sling and one joey setup. From last 4 days, the remote on hopper stopped working. Before I had a low battery warning and I replaced all the batteries. The remote lights are on, but the hopper does not respond to it.

I tried the locate remote and the remote starts beeping. Even if I press any buttons, it didn't respond. I had to remove batteries for it to stop beeping. I went to system info and failed pairing it again. I unpaired the remote and now I cannot add it back.

I was even unable to pair the remote on joey to the hopper.

I did a reset and power reboot also, and no use. Reset is taking less than a minute, which seemed to be strange. I go to progress 5 of 5 immediately and then live tv.

Have you tried pairing Hopper remote to Joey? That would make clear the remote is bad it you can't. PM Dirt, and they will probably send you a new one.

Not sure if it is remote as I tried pairing a working Joey remote to hopper. It didn't work. I haven't tried pairing hopper remote to joey. I will try it today.

Sometimes you have to hold the remote very close to the box for pairing to work. I'm talking a couple of inches.

I did put the remote next to the antenna in the back.

Try manually unpairing it and after its unpaired, open system info and try pairing it again.
