Replacement VIP 622 - Previous software L083??

My almost one month old replacement 622 locked up yesterday. Got it back working but decided to see what diagnostics recorded. Scrolling down the list I saw that the previous software was L083... huh? I looked up the firmware levels for this box and couldn't see anything this old..

OK am I right in thinking this old level was a diagnostic firmware level when the box was tested when it was turned in whenever, or was this some beta level? The box when I got it was pristine.

factory software probably. it doesnt get updated untill you install the box.

That's the "basic" firmware that all new or refurbished boxes are shipped with. It has limited functionality... It's main function is to run the initial setup and then download the current software for that model.
