reply with quote grabs the whole page

using osx86 and firefox 3.6.24, sometimes when I hit reply with quote in a thread that function grabs the entire webpage including ads.I have to bail out and then hit reply with quote and then it behaves properly.Anybody ever see anything like that before or is it just a osx firefox problem.

Lest anyone think you'd had too many eggnogs, I'll confirm.
Haven't seen it lately, though.
Same FireFox version, in Windows.
