Yes, it has HDMI. And it has component. Would I gain something by converting to component? Would it be better to split the HDMI at the joey and feed both tvs from the HDMI?

The cables really don't matter ....it's the technology that makes the SD or HD ...using the red, white, & yellow for component will work. Component technology separates the video into three color feeds like s-video does. That is why you use a separate cable for your audio. Composite uses one 1 wire the yellow for the video and the colors are combined.

What cables did you use? The real heavy duty ones that are 3 RG-59 cables molded together? This cable seems like it would be difficult to work with.....
