RIP Gary Carter...

One of the best player I have watched. On the field he gave it all. The way he protected home play was excellent. We will miss you. He made the difference in the Mets winning the 1986 WS.

Very sad as a Mets fan. He's everything you wanted in a baseball player. He had guts, determination, played 110% every day and had the will to win. He was a winner in every sense of the word. My thoughts to his family and friends. RIP "The Kid".

Great player and even better man. He will be missed.

It really starts to hit you when the players you grew up watching and admiring start to die. He was way too young.

Very sad, "blue collar" player before that saying was cool to say

HOW did Gary Carter die before Lenny Dykstra and Darryl Strawberry?!

Anyways, RIP.

PS, that was a killer white-boy Jerry Curl he used to rock back in the '80's!
