I too am still waiting. So far nothing but excuses and lies from the seller. His excuse for shipping a package that was NOT a 622 that I purchased was "there was a shipping mixup at the ups store". Uh, yeah, whatever! if that were true, why did EVERYONE involved get a FAKE package. I don't think the UPS store would confuse a 15lb package (that's what the tracking info said), for a 3 lb DP34 or whatever was really shipped. I refused the package at the door, since it was obviously not what I paid for. Still waiting for a response from police, fbi, and paypal.

Thought by now something would have been done though.

I am blown away by how bad paypal is at their supposed guarantees.

I would also file a complaint against them. And against ebay, since they own paypal.

Wouldn't do any good to complain about ebay since it has nothing to do with them (the seller was selling his stuff on here, not on ebay), and paypal is not responsible for what a seller does. They try to protect their users, but they are somewhat limited in what they can do too, and they are just slower than molasses most times! lol

Well ebay is the new parent company of paypal and thusly are guilty by association wich does make them a responsible party as they either make the policies or they ok'd the existing policies or modified them to fit with the companies design. By all means doe file complaints against both, I think that you can file against both through the typical channels but also through safe harbour wich ebay has been using for some time now when it comes to its sellers.

Has anyone stopped to look at rwins recent ebay feedback to see if he has scammed anyone on that service?

Looks like Paypal acted like... well Paypal.

After careful review, we have concluded our investigation of the Buyer
Complaint described below.

We have decided in your favor, however, we were unable to recover any funds
from the seller's account. As stated in the PayPal User Agreement, recovery
of funds associated with a Buyer Complaint cannot be guaranteed.

Please know that we will make our best effort to recover the funds in
question if they become available in the seller's account in the future and
will take appropriate action against the seller. Such action may include
issuing a warning, a temporary restriction, or terminating the account.
Keep in mind that PayPal uses a number of factors to determine when to take
action, including member complaints. Due to privacy laws, we cannot discuss
the details of any action taken. We hope you understand our policy and that
it assures you that you are safe using PayPal.

Well I waited and waited for PayPal to give me my money. When I called them they said they would take it out of his checking account. Well, lets just say the funds are not there because I just got an email from PayPal stating that there are no funds available and I am sure he has closed that checking account tied to it. Time to get him put behind bars if he does not pay us our money plus interest/our hassle. He OBVIOUSLY has NO intentions on paying us back of PayPal would have had the funds. He is a LIAR and a THIEF that needs to pay the price. You can't just rip people off and get away with it. This is rediculous!

If I would have used my PayPal credit card I would have had protection. I have another case where I did and did not receive an item off of ebay and they tell me that I will get a refund if I do not receive that item but since I did not use my Paypal credit card in this case then I will not receive a refunds.

Not sure how accurate the on-line monitor is, but it says he is online right now. Lurking I'm sure as he hasn't posted in a while.

Let him watch. I have been working with a few "Agencies" and with the combined complaints and a few other factors which I can't share publiclly I believe Mr Irwin will get a little surpise in a little bit.

I also know that one member went to (drove to) Ohio today and filed a lawsuit in small claims court against Mr Irwin.

In addition from some of the agencies I have been working with, it appears he has been arrested for this type of thing before. Because he could be a repeat offender could mean a stiffer sentance, especially now that that it is considered interstate mail fraud.

In addition a few SatelliteGuys members have given their support just to go out and stand in front of his house in the street. If they remain in the street there is nothing he can do about it, which should be fun considering his next door neighbor is a cop. :)
