What is that stuff you installers use to seal the dish lag bolts? The only thing I've found similar is Black Jack sealant (Lowe's) but it's not exactly the same. That would be good stuff for general roof usage, not just for sat installs. Where can we get it?

Bishops tape is used a lot.

Thanks Gents, I just ordered some. I didn't know it was tape. I use much the same thing to seal new construction windows, but it has a vinyl side that can't be removed. It's around $18 for a 50ftx4" roll. It works really good for encapsulating a crawl space, too.

The "Black Jack" roofing cement is close, and comes in a caulk tube, so it's good, but not as neat as Bishops.

Learn something new every day.

I think the black jack is good but for sealing up lag bolts on a roof nothing compares to bishops tape. Seals it all the way down, best option IMO
