What is the rules in your house when it comes to the remote control? You hate it when love ones drop your remote all the time. What do you guys think?

I use JP1 remotes. When i find a good JP1 remote, i buy handful of them. If one breaks, i plug the new one into the computer, write the IR codes and in 5 minutes i have a new remote. But, to be honest, no one else in the family can figure out the remote. There are un-labled buttons, that turn things on, and between the receiver, STB etc, they stay clear of it.. - So, if you want everyone else to leave your remote along, don't adopt the KISS protocol... :biggrin

Simple, one 40.0 Dish remote per person, per room. And a drawer full of all the older 21, 6.4, 5.3 just in case.
