Hi everybody

Has somebody used russian dielectric plates?
I testet my own maked with thin plastic and aluminiun foil. Signal was very good but I think that the best (especially for DMX 241 C band) is 63mm russian plate:

I also want to show You my reflector which inpoves signal:

If someone is interested or has already checked my solutions, please let me know :)

Could you provide more details and pictures?

It's very thin plastic (about 1mm). It is sold in Russia but also I can send by express priority mail - dielectric 12$ and 4$shipping, I accept paypal.

I will show You more photos soon. My friends from polish satclub forum have just bought it and test signals so I hope to attach some photos.

Left side screen - new thin russian dielectric
Right side - common dielectric plate

As You can see at post above, dielectric improves especially low band, 3.4-3.7 but for example 4,08 is also good. :)

Ive seen that done to force the LNB to see circular polarized signals. I could be wrong but my guess is that is why you are seeing improvements.

I have been modding my bsc621-2 (C and Ku band combo lnb from DMS International). I replaced the Ku band lnb in a attempt to improve the Ku band performance. The main reason of the bad performance of the Ku band of the original Ku band lnb is however not the lnb itself but the dielectric plate needed for C band reception. I like to try this russian dielectric plate to improve my C band reception, but most of all improve Ku band reception.

I have one dielectric so I can send You. If more users are interested I will make order from Russia.
I don't prefer c+ku lnb, two dishes for two bands are better choice;) But if You have huge dish like 3.0m it could be good.

After I received the dielectric from el_polaco and a new DMX741U C/KU LNBF I have been testing last weeks. The Russian dielectric does improve the signal for C-band and Ku-Band. Because the Russian dielectric is much thinner than the original one, the signal loss for Ku-band is also less. I have been testing with slightly different focal distances from dish to lnb.

Thanks for tests. I'm glad that dielectric improved signal. Remember that thin russian dielectric should be put deeper than traditional dielectric model. Happy New Year :)
