RVU over ethernet instead of COAX?

Does anyone know if RVU can be used with JUST the ethernet cable. My tv sees the hr-34 fine and can setup the share but DIRECTV says I need a DECA with a coax running to TV.

Should be just ethernet, i know what you described is the old setup, but they may still force it. Just keep trying new csrs.

It can be done, but isn't common, requires a CSR turning on whole-home in an "unsupported" method. This is a huge long thread about it that you will want to read up on if you plan to approach it with a CSR:

Personally I'd recommend talking them into a free SWM upgrade with a Genie or something similar.
