Is that at Living Room 1? Does Starting over from Living Room 1 fix it? Never seen that one before...

Have you noticed that the initial estimate of the time is about twice as long as it eventually takes.

I guess Dish thinks we prefer to have the time always decreasing, being better than the time left going up and up.

Well I just got one that is stuck at 20Sec on a bunch of SD. Guessed wrong again. Yes there is IO indicated.

Earlier I got 3 EHDs mounted. You can transfer with any but you can only list/view the contents of the first 2.

BTW I'm using an unpowered 4-way USB with 2 drives and it seems to keep them straight.

-Ken at S234, yet.

P.S. none of shows transferred on that 20Sec. -K
Trying again, started at 118Hr, settling in at 35Min. -K

Will have to check later. I THINK that finishing a program from either location wipes out that screen / option. Doesn't it only display when a program is unfinished from both locations ?

Got 238 on both Hoppers last night, that's good. What I would like to know is, what are the changes with the new soft ware. I have noticed a few changes (red and blue button description when changing channel, DVR button behavior) but what else has been corrected/improved? Why can't we find out about those?

Also, I have read on these forums that if you do certain things on the remote control (hit one button once then another button several times) you can get to different screens. Shortcuts, if you like. Is there somewhere that you can find out how to do those? Or, are they not for us to know about (we only use the equipment), only Dish installers or CSR's?

Thanks for listening.
This is a good question I have often wondered about myself. I have picked up a few useful ones here on SatelliteGuys, but there are probably a whole lot more I don't know about but could use. Can anybody answer this?

Got 238 on both Hoppers. Fixed the pixilation on playback from the buffer. But on the Hopper in the Living Room with the WD 2 tb ehd, it is still dropping off. Not that big a deal. I can always reconnect it if I want to use it.
Just noticed this, the Back Up Wizard seems to run automajically at over night system restart. Is this new?

I've had S238 for a while and my Caller ID has worked fine since day 1. You might want to go into the menu and make sure it is still enabled....

Mine works fine. Is the user seeing the caller ID on both hoppers. Kinda hard to decipher his complaint. Caller ID not working or it does not cross over?
I do see it on the Joeys and hopper (1 H 2 J)

That's the first thing I checked. I don't know if I'd works on family room as with the hopper we don't use that TV in the winter so we don't heat room above 60 unless needed.

edit=just rebooted it again for 3 rd time as I always reboot all systems after updates and now it works.

I stopped watching a dvr'd show last night that was recorded OTA, and came into an all black OTA tuner. Tried bouncing around from OTA channel to OAT channel, all black. This was one of the times the show we were watching would not delete at the end either. After a few mins of trying stuff, the OTA channel came back all of a sudden, and then I went in and deleted the one we had watched.

It's really annoying when a DVR wont simply delete a program.

Got it this morning. Haven't really had the chance to play with it. Noticed the red and blue button banner right away. Definitely quicker than 234.

Yep, so I suppose that finishing from either location could clear that out. Very odd bug though.

I need to go back and see which particular episode it was and check .... I still haven't. I did notice changes in the guide this morning that makes me think my receiver took the S238 update. Maybe the bug I saw was a rather rare one but Dish knew about it and fixed it.
