The appeal of the theater, for me, has diminished greatly. It's especially dropped in the last year with blu-ray becoming more available, a great tv and good audio equipment.
Hard to beat crawling up in my big comfy chair with my dog and relaxing for a nice flick. I can get up and make popcorn and grab a drink, plus pause it when I need to.
It sounds as though he has a pretty nice theater with not so bad a price. My biggest issue now, is buying a blu-ray is about the same as a movie trip. I get more enjoyment out of viewing at home, and I can stand to wait the 3 mo's till it comes out on blu disc. The summer was rough because its when I really stopped going (watched only Iron Man, Batman and recently Death Race) and there were some good ones, but they are all now getting ready to start being released so I have a steady stream of new release pre orders on Amazon.
Anyways, the wifes working late tonight so me and the pooch are halfway thru Aliens: The Directors Cut(fav movie of all time) dvd, time to get back to it
