A Spanish-speaking friend asked me how to get SAP on the NFL games. I am surprised to see that Directv doesn't pass SAP through, at least on my locals. Most of them have SAP here OTA. None of the HD channels do on Directv, but a couple do with the SD. Is this common or a fluke in my market (Greensboro NC)?

did you try pressing the green button?

I know I've seen the SAP work here (Minneapolis) at least on ABC sports programming. And my ABC is locally (literally...they are based here in Mpls) owned

I was looking under the "audio/video" in the info. On the OTA signals from the AM21, there is an option for both English DD and Spanish DD (some say SAP, ESL, etc). None of the HD versions of the Directv-provided locals have this option, they just have English DD. A couple of the SD versions have English and SAP options.

Wow I never knew about the green button Easter egg.

Though it makes the audio go away here completely, even if toggling back to English Dolby digital. Have to change the channel and then back again to get sound.

I wish there was a button like that for the favorites list. It's so cumbersome to go through menus to do that. I am not a menus person, I like buttons. There's no such thing as a remote with too many buttons in my book.

Regarding the green button.. pressing it once turns on the closed captioning (in spanish, if available, I think) and 2 presses on the green button will change the audio (again, if its available).. very VERY few channels have the dual audio streams tho.
