i apoligize if this has been posted before, off and on for about 2 years my tv changed channel by itself,it can very maddening sometimes,it will just go crazy, pressing buttons, guides, ppv all that stuff, and sometimes faster than any human could input them.

for about 7 or 8 months it stopped, but recently it started again worse than ever,i am one of 4 people who have dish network. however i am the only one this happens to, i cant enjoy anything on tv,it will go to a weird channel orto some channel i dont have .

i read somewhere once a wireless device can trigger this, i have a laptop, which is basically right in front of said tv, this is the only thing i can think of,i dont have the receiver in my room

thanks for any help

push system info what remote address is your receiver using?

change it.

likely a neighbor interfering

lock your receiver so they doinbt accidently buy a bunch of expensive porn

If the neighbor buys porn it will be on the neighbors' receiver ID, not the OPs.

fred
Not if the OP and the neighbor both have UHF remotes on the same address. In that case, both receivers would order the porn, so both the OP and the neighbor would get charged!

OP: Definitely change the addresses on all your remotes ASAP.

i would also lock your receiver so that you would have to put in your own pin number to authorize ppv and such. then i would also set your remote id to somehting else as well.
