Satellite Finder Question

I hooked up my Coolsat 5000 the other day and everything was fine. So I decided to move the dish to find a different satellite. I hooked up my satellite finder and couldn't get any tone at all. Thinking it was bad I ordered another one. Well, this one doesn't give me a signal either. I've moved the dish to where I knew I had a satellite but can't get either satellite finder to work. Where should I start to look? Could there be a problem with my receiver or LNB? I've tried everything I know, which isn't much.

Make sure you have the signal meter the right way round, it will only work if you have it hooked up the right way.

I would use the signal Quality meter on the receiver as your "Signal Meter"

Have done both

I have done both of those items and reset the receiver to factory defaults. Nothing seems to work. I'm not sure where to look now.

What is your latitude and longitude? Which satellites are you trying to hit? How big is your dish?
