Satellite won't lock in

I live in a motor home and recently had some work done on it that required the receiver and tv be disconnected. SO the receiver was left in the coach,
just disconnected from tv. I know they disconnected the receiver so
they could remove the cabinets in the bedroom but don't know if wires
at the dome on top were disconnected. When I reconnected the tv to the
receiver, the satellite will search, but will not lock on. The RF
cable from the satellite is connected to the receiver, the low speed
data port is connected. Don't know what to do, any suggestions for
this "non tv person" will be appreciated. It is a KVH system.

Something got moved, so go through whatever is required for that system to realign the dish.

make sure the lo speed cable is not plugged into the phone jack. also make sure the receiver is set to round dish single lnb. unplug the receiver and restart the kvh. i install motsat and kingdome units and do repairs on tracstar and trackvision units his is wha i mostly see.
