Yep, according to post #24 in this thread the HD RSNs were uplinked last September between channels 359-386. As far as I know, they were never taken down.

Looks like they are testing 20 SD MPEG4 channels on a QPSK TP. Still makes me wonder why you would do this since an MPEG4 receiver can receive 8PSK.

The RSN "placeholders" were uplinked. I still haven't seen any bitrates on that those channels that would show content.

Is it possible the RSN's in HD might go live for the baseball season?? If E*'s excuse of, "not enough content" was truly their reason for keeping them inactive then the MLB season would be a good reason to turn them on.

Beginning in April there will be dozens of HD games on these chanels every week. If that's not enough content then I don't know what is.

That would be great news for the start of the baseball season. Just read an article in the paper today that FSN North will carry at least 40+ Twins games in HD this year.....

C'mon E* get off the fence and flip the swithches.....cable and D* have RSN's in HD.

Maybe this is a compromise since it doenst sound like E* will be carrying MLB EI.

Then again maybe E* is just making it "look good" so the hardcore baseball fans wont jump ship to D* to see their teams in HD ????? Dont forget all those other HD RSN's channels were uplinked last September and there they sit.

That's a good point. The more I think about it I could see E* uplinking some more RSN's in HD and then announcing on a tech chat that they will go live, "very, very soon." All this in an effort to keep sports fans from bailing.

I am done with E*'s "very very soon" BS.....you can only cry wolf so many times. Maybe they are feeling the pressure from the baseball fans now that the season is just around the corner and D*'s deal with MLB EI.....guess we will know for sure in about a week or so.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the record so far is "never". As in there had been stuff up-linked that never went live.
