Hey guys.

Been reading that new channels pop up from time to time which lead me to wonder how often does everyone scan?

I guess news feeds pop up and leave all of the time, so I may have missed a few during the last scans.

Is there anyware that lists anything new that pops up?

Mike

hi torg0, try Lyngsat for updates on transponders, SatcoDX has a more comprehensive list in my opinion.
That's where I get my lists from, my PCI card can't blind-scan.

I scan 3-4 satellites a many times a day. The rest I scan about once a week.

Its a good idea to scan at the top and bottom of the hour for news feeds.

Depending on what satellite I'm on

If I'm on IA6 (where there are lots of news feeds), usually 10 minutes to the top of the hour...this is where the big news feeds wouild be :)

Sports is random....during college season, all the time
Hockey season I scan at 15 to the hour between 5 & 8 Central time :)

Thanks guys for pointing out the SatcoDX site!

It's a great list.

One other quick question..

What's the difference between scanning "all" and "All+D"?

Thanks!

Mike

No effective difference, the D is mainly used in Europe and does not work in this country!

D = Data.
