SD National Channels being Down Rez'd

You know , come to think of it ,If directv went Mpeg 4 on the 101, That would save a ton of space, Right?
But then yes everyone would have to upgrade to an Mpeg 4 receiver. That would cost big bucks.


this is why it's so far down the road.
 
And since the "future" is HD, if PQ is of absolute importance, the PQ will be on the Ka-band slots, requiring H-series receivers.

There is no sense to change from MPEG2 on 101/110/119. Any change to MPEG4 on those slots requires massive amounts of receiver replacements.
