I am a new subscriber to voom (have not been hooked up yet), i was wondering how their SD channels are, as in picture quality. They claim they are better than Dish or Direct because they dont compress the signal as much. Is this true?

mhe4,

Welcome to the Forum! Some SD channels on VOOM look better than others. Overall, they look reasonably good. I will let those who have D* and E* do the comparison: VOOM is my only provider now (with the exception of analog OTA). They definitly look much better than what I used to see on my Adelphia cable...

The main "problem" with VOOM is this: you quickly get used to watching HD most of the time and you get so spoiled, that after some time you simply can't watch SD any more! Happy VOOMing! :D
