SD Receiver 322 with HD Dish 1000.2?

It is hard to tell how wide that slot is just by looking at the picture. So, it is either the bracket for a Twin LNB (110 and 119 only, with no place to put the 129 LNB) or it is the bracket for the newer-style Dish 1000 LNB's that integrate all three satellites.

Ah, you are right. I didn't realize what I was looking at. Given the age, I would guess it was for a twin LNB. So he would only need to get that LNB (and a mast) to get that working for his 322. He has already stated that 129 is more trouble than it's worth (for the limited SD on 129) at present.

It's not; he's using a single-LNB Winegard. That is a spare dish Happy Jack has which is missing the LNB (and the LNB support arm), so it's not going to be that easy to add stuff.
This is the original dish 1000 we used with the SD 322 when we originally had Dish Network installed in our home many years ago. HD didn't existed back then. I'm not sure if bird 129 existed back then. When we upgraded the home to HD, Dish Network replaced this dish 1000 with something else, removed the twin DPP LNB from it and left the dish 1000 behind. I tossed this dish in my barn thinking I might use the metal for something. It's been in my barn for maybe 8 years.

Here are my old Dish 1000 dimensions. Notice the 2 LNB screws screw in from the bottom of the adapter. I'm sure the adapter can be flipped over if needed. And a look at the back
