SD to HD upgrade questions

In my family room I have a HR 21 and in my bedroom there is a R 22. The R22 has a single coax line to it. I want to upgrade to HD. Is it a simple swap out of machines or is there more involved? Do I need to have the technician come do this? Also, will the upgrade cost $199? Does that make the HD-DVR "mine"? Thanks for the info

It is simple to Just swap out receivers Yes.
I'm guessing since you have a single wire to the R22,you have the single wire muilti Switch?
If not then your not going to be able to record and watch live tv, but thats no different then with your R22 using a single wire , Without the "SWM".
For $199 thats the lease price. You may get it less. But if you want to own it you have to pay full price . Somewhere in between $700-$800.

You assumed right. You can still hook up the HD DVR, but to get the full function of it , I would Run another wire from the receiver to the dish.
