I read a thread somewhere else that suggested that D* has added KCPQ-HD recently. Does anyone know if that's true, and if so, did they have to add the KMYQ also? If they didn't that might be a good omen for an E* deal soon.

According to D*'s web site, only KING, KIRO & KCPQ in HD.

As you can see they have not updated this in awhile but folks still might check the site from time to time.

Anybody's dish blow out of alignment in the big storm? Mine were rock solid, even my 24" 129 dish stayed perfect. I was pretty happy with that. We were lucky we didn't lose power... it's getting cold out!

My 30 inch dish for 129 blew out of alignment a little. It's quite a bit more sensitive to aiming than a smaller dish.

On the bright side, my little bow-tie antenna that I used to pick up the on-air HD locals (4, 5, 7) broke off of the balun during the windstorm. I get a signal of over 90 with just the little 6 inch wires hanging down from the balun. That's a better signal than I got with the antenna. It's good to live a mile and a half from the transmitters.

On the KCPQ-HD subject, when I'm in Canada, I get KCPQ-HD on StarChoice satellite.

Does anybody else think it's stupid that I have to go to Canada to be able to watch a Tacoma station that I can't get in Seattle?

Yes, I thought so.

Our power was out for 62+ hours & came back yesterday afternoon. I had connected the 622 & one TV to the generator Saturday evening to watch the news. Our maximum wind gust was only 25.7, four minutes before the power went out at 1:06 am Friday, so I'm not surprised the two dishes remained aligned.

The only problems I've had which probably don't have anything to do with the storm was the corrupt hard drive message Thursday evening & a freeze this evening trying to watch a show recorded today. A hard reset seems to have fixed it.

Both my 500's and the CM4248 remained aligned. I haven't noticed signal degradation. In fact, since the storm it seems I'm getting a little stronger OTA signal. Lots of trees and branches came down nearby. Power restored while I was at work at 3:30pm Sunday. No damage that I could see to homes in the neighborhood but some big trees did get knocked down. The crews are still working on the downed lines about a block from my house. Sure glad they temp'd to get restoral. After this year I'm definitely going to get serious about a backup power/heat plan.

Pacific Northwest, where it rains a lot...
My dish remained aligned, but 6 days without power wasn't a lot of fun. Ran on generator power for 6 days and it was nice having a dish. Everyone else out here has cable and thus had no TV/news. So, I was able to get news from KING, KOMO, etc and pass it along.

I decided to do the backup power/heat plan after 4 days with no heat, light or running water for 4 days back in '93. That was a hideous 4 days...

My power went out again Friday night. Got it back Saturday 11pm. That was the best game I've ever watched on a 5 inch battery powered black and white screen!!!

If anyone hears about a replay please post. I hoped NFLHD would do it but so far they are only showing regular season games.

On http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/home

NFL Replay Schedule for the week's games:

Tuesday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET — Seahawks 21, Cowboys 20
Several key mistakes down the stretch, including a mishandled snap on the game-winning field goal attempt, doomed Dallas.

Thanks! I'll set to record (and hope the storm coming thru today doesn't knock the power down again).
