I am using my hr24 with a slimline 3 and 4 port lnb. I am getting sat 101 perfect but can't get 99 and 103. I have one coax cable coming from lnb to the port in back of receiver. Do I need the b band converter to get these sats as well as my hd channels?

WWith an HR24 and a non-SWM slimline, you need BBCs. And you need two cables to the dish.

In the dish setup menu, make sure where it says SWITCH TYPE, that it is set to MULTISWITCH and not SWM.

Both of the previous posters got it right, follow their advice and you should be good to go. One minor correction, if you use one cable, the dvr will work, but only one tuner can be used at one time.
